DLTK-Kids Treasure Chest could be used for telling the story of Joash (just omit the skull and crossbones!). Have children drop coins into the box as you tell the story of the people bringing money to the temple. Make sure you have lots of small change so the children can hear the clinking of the money!

Danielle's Place has a few ideas and crafts on Jesus Grew which could be adapted for this story. The idea of creating a page/booklet "I am Growing" is great - could be used in conjunction with creating paper doll of self from Making Friends or a simpler one from B illyBear4Kids. Encourage children to discuss and illustrate (whether it be with writing or pictures) some of the things they can do for God as they grow.
